Planning

Stage 0 lays the foundations for the development of the project through ensuring that the China assumptions underlying the business case are validated, the necessary legal structures are in place, the location is identified and confirmed and any necessary due diligence is under way.

 
Stage 1
Project Definition

Most of our commissions begin at the start of the client's project. Ocassionally, we are brought in to sort out problems. Almost always, the seeds of the problems have been sown at the beginning of the project with poor project definition. Our Stage 1 is aimed at supporting a board decision to move forward (or not!) with the investment.

 
Stage 2
Design, Tender & Procurement

The completion of Stage 2 and the associated reports provide the basis of our client to finally review the investment and make the major capital investment commitments based on hard numbers. The end of Stage 2 provides the last exit or major rethink opportunity without incurring excessive cost

 
Stage 3
Construction Management

The Objective of Stage 3 is to coordinate and oversee all necessary specialists, contractors and suppliers input to ensure that our client's facility is built on, on budget and to the agreed quality. In the event that risks materialise, we advise our client on how best to deal with them and manage that process through to completion.

 
Stage 4
Operation & Maintenance

Stage 4 can involve a wide range of support requirements spanning across work in all other stages. SIP's team is based in and committed to China and to our independance. We will be here for any of our clients whenever our services might be needed in the future.
